How We Rebuild Your Drilling Tools
When tungsten and carbon unite, they become one of the hardest of all carbides. Weld hard-facing is a method for applying tungsten carbide to parts and equipment that have been exposed to excessive wear and tear. At CSS Drilling Tools, we use 10-18 and 6-10 carbide on our own tools, but we also have a hard-facing wire that we use on rush jobs with a Rockwell rating of 64 hardness.
We have ovens on-site for preheating and post-heating to ensure structural integrity. We have also designed a slow cooling process that allows tools to cool down without warping. We can use this process for agriculture, construction, ground-engaging tools, and various oil field and drilling applications.
Specializing in Rebuilding Adjusting Nuts & More
At CSS Drilling Tools, we specialize in rebuilding and adjusting nuts for directional purposes, motor stabs, and bit tipping, but we have a full shop of certified welders that can complete any remanufacturing job you bring our way. We also have an in-house machine shop that can remanufacture and/or fabricate to your original specifications or build to print.

The first step is always to meet with our customers so we can get a clear understanding of the project. We will then provide a detailed quote that includes an estimated time of completion. After the quote is approved, we will get to work on remanufacturing your tools to like-new condition.
